When it has to do with the Stanley Cup Final, there’s no shortage of betting opportunities available. For the 2019 variant of this battle for Lord Stanley’s holy grail, the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues are set for what is shaping up to be yet another fascinating championship.
BetOnline has released a litany of wagering opportunities for the Cup Final, with chances on correct score, total games played in the series and where the series will finish, along with 15 player prop specials.
Listed below are a few of my favorite props:
OVER 5.5 Points for Ryan O’Reilly (-115)
Despite sitting second in team scoring behind Jaden Schwartz, Blues center Ryan O’Reilly has been undervalued in this show in my view. O’Reilly, who has three goals and 11 assists in the 2019 playoffs, has been the steadiest offensive contributor for St. Louis all year .
Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask was outstanding at the postseason but I think O’Reilly can easily go OVER his 5.5-point projection. If you are interested, he’s +4000 to win the Conn Smythe Trophy as NHL playoffs MVP.
Series to Move Six Games (+190)
Since 2010, six of those nine Stanley Cup Finals have gone into six games. While I understand past stats and trends can be irrelevant, both the Blues and Bruins are incredibly equally matched and I will see this one going to six matches.
St. Louis has already played plenty of games in the postseason, since the Blues-Winnipeg Jets first-round series went to six games. The Blues went the distance in a Game 7 showdown with the Dallas Stars in the second round before dispatching the San Jose Sharks in six at the Western Conference final.
The Bruins are coming off a sweep of the Carolina Hurricanes, nevertheless they went the space from the Toronto Maple Leafs at the opening round and needed six games to send the Columbus Blue Jackets packing from the Eastern Conference semifinal.
I believe another very long series is in store, therefore the +190 juice looks appealing at a champion being crowned in Game 6.
