Without a UFC event this weekend, we get to check into our crystal ball and have an early look at some futures chances, specifically both title fights scheduled for UFC 220 (Jan. 20th, Boston). I am literally wearing my wizard hat right now [editor’s note: he really is] and that I should be, because we’re on a magic roll folks! Last weekend, a couple of those gold underdogs from my Best Bets for UFC 219 cashed in. Thanks, Carla Esparza and Neil Magny!
If you are not excited about UFC 220, then you’ve got no pulse. You’re literally dead and should be packed with ice. How can you not be stoked to see among the most anticipated heavyweight championship fights in UFC history? Regardless of the result, history will be made.
Stipe Miocic will soon be defending his heavyweight crown from rising celebrity Francis Ngannou and I am pretty sure someone is going to be looking straight up in the lights when it’s all done and said.
Also on the card, Daniel Cormier will soon be defending his light-heavyweight name against hard-hitting Volkan Oezdemir. Can we see an upset and the crowning of a fresh light-heavyweight king? Or will Cormier once again show us why he’s among the greatest to ever step foot into an Octagon?
